His two short stories and a novella appeared in the\u00a0<em>Kenyon Review<\/em>,\u00a0<em>New England Review<\/em>, and the\u00a0<em>Bare Life Review.<\/em>\u00a0In his writing,\u00a0Maxim\u00a0is drawn to characters who are whimsical and unconventional.
